The situation at the front remains difficult. The enemy, using their advantage in manpower and equipment, is relentlessly attacking our positions. Ukrainian defenders steadfastly restrained the onslaught of the invaders, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
This is stated in the text of the operational update from the command of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published on the official page of the department on the Facebook social network.
In total, 171 combat clashes were recorded during the past day.
According to detailed information, yesterday the enemy launched five missile strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using seven missiles, as well as 82 airstrikes, dropping 137 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,345 attacks, in particular, 103 - from multiple launch rocket systems, and engaged 1,333 kamikaze drones for destruction.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular in the areas of Vodolahy, Stetskivka, Khotin, Zhuravka, Krasnopillia, Novoslobidske, Svarkove, Bilovody settlements of the Sumy Region; Vovchansk, Bochkove, Kivsharivka, Novoosynove, Bohuslavka of the Kharkiv Region; Dyliivka, Druzhba, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, Petrivka, Zoriane, Balahan, Oleksandropil, Kurakhove, Velyka Novosilka, Yasna Poliana, Sukhi Yaly of the Donetsk Region; Lobkove, Novodarivka of the Zaporizhzhia Region; Ukrainka, Mykhailivka, Odradokamianka, Tokarivka, Poniativka of the Kherson Region.
Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, one ammunition depot and two command posts of the russian invaders.
Using bomber aircraft on the Kharkiv axis, the enemy stormed the positions of our defenders in the area of the settlement of Vovchansk five times.
On the Kupiansk axis, 14 attacks by invaders took place during the day. The defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Kindrashivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Lozova, Pishchane, and Berestove.
The enemy attacked 12 times on the Lyman axis. Tried to penetrate our defense near Hrekivka, Zarichne, Terny, Torske and Hryhorivka.
On the Siversk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled five assaults by the russian invaders near Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamianske.
On the Kramatorsk axis, the occupiers attacked once in the area of Bondarne.
On the Toretsk axis, the enemy, actively using aviation, carried out ten attacks near the settlements of Dyliivka, Druzhba, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Petrivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, our defenders stopped 36 assault actions of the aggressor towards the settlements of Myroliubivka, Novotoretske, Promin, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Selydove, Vyshneve and Chumatske.
On the Kurakhove axis, the Defense Forces repelled 40 russian attacks. The occupiers most actively tried to advance in the areas of Illinka, Berestky, Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Voznesenka, Maksymivka, Antonivka, Dalnie and Katerynivka.
On the Vremivka axis, the enemy carried out seven assaults on our positions in the areas of Trudove, Kostiantynopilske, and Sukhi Yaly.
On the Orikhiv axis, the occupation forces stormed the positions of the Defense Forces in the Novoandriivka and Novodanylivka districts five times.
With the support of bomber and assault aircraft, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked the positions of our defenders on the Dnieper axis three times.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected on the Volyn and Polissia axes.
Our soldiers inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and actively undermine the offensive potential of the enemy in the rear.
In general, the russian invaders lost 1,660 people last day. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 5 tanks, 36 armored fighting vehicles, 23 artillery systems, 49 UAVs of operational-tactical level, 3 cruise missiles, 66 vehicles and 2 units of special equipment of the occupiers.
