In January-September of this year, the Vodafone Ukraine mobile operator (PJSC VF Ukraine, Kyiv) reduced its net profit by 23%, or by UAH 886 million, to UAH 2.921 billion compared to the same period last year.
This is stated in the company's message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that the decrease in the profit rate is due to fluctuations in the exchange rate.
During the specified period, the operator's income increased by 13.0%, or by UAH 2.142 billion, to UAH 18.053 billion.
The Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) in the 3rd quarter of 2024 was UAH 122.4 per month.
It is also reported that the OIBDA indicator (analytical indicator, which means Operating Income Before Depreciation and Amortization) increased by 6.0% to UAH 9.550 billion, and the OIBDA margin decreased by 4.0 pp. to 52.9%.
Capital investments for 9 months amounted to UAH 3.413 billion, which is 10.0% less compared to the same period last year.
In August 2024, Vodafone launched tariffs that are also valid in Europe.
As part of the "Roaming like at home" concept, the operator offers Ukrainians to use their home tariff in 28 European countries without additional charges or connecting services.
"The subscriber base remains stable compared to the previous quarter of 2024 – 15.9 million customers.
Vodafone managed to increase the number of mobile customers compared to the 3rd quarter of last year, as of September 30, 2024, Vodafone communications were used 4.7% more than according to the results of the 3rd quarter of last year.
Vodafone managed to increase the number of both private subscribers and customers in the corporate segment.
In September, Vodafone started selling numbers with a new code - 075.
"The additional numbering resource significantly increases the choice of the desired combination of numbers for new and existing subscribers of the company," the message reads.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in January-June of this year, the Vodafone Ukraine mobile communications operator reduced its net profit by 14%, or by UAH 312 million, to UAH 1,954 million compared to the same period last year.
In March 2020, Vodafone (UK) signed a partnership agreement with the Vodafone Ukraine mobile operator to continue using the Vodafone brand in the work of the Ukrainian society for the next 5 years.
On December 3, 2019, Bakcell (Azerbaijan) completed the purchase of the Vodafone Ukraine mobile operator from the MTS telecommunications company for USD 734 million.
