On the night of Friday, November 8, russian troops launched 92 drones, an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 4 Kh-59/69 guided air missiles over the territory of Ukraine; air defense forces shot down 62 drones and 4 air missiles.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of November 8 (from 6 p.m. on November 7), the enemy struck with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov Oblast (russia), four Kh-59/69 air missiles from the airspace of the Belgorod Oblast (russia), 92 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unspecified type from the directions of Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Oryol (all - russia) and Cape Chauda (Crimea).
Enemy tactical aviation struck the Kharkiv Region and the Sumy Region with guided air bombs.
"As of 9 a.m., the downing of 4 Kh-59/69 guided air missiles and 62 enemy UAVs in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi and Ivano-Frankivsk Regions has been confirmed. 26 enemy drones were lost in different regions of Ukraine. One - in the airspace of Ukraine. Combat work continues!" the message says.
The air attack was repulsed by anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the night russian attack, the houses and property of civilians in the Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy and Khmelnytskyi Regions were damaged, and there are victims.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 7, the russians launched 106 drones over the territory of Ukraine. Air defense forces shot down 74 drones, while 25 unmanned aerial vehicles were lost.
On the morning of November 8, russia attacked the Kyiv Region with a missile and strike drones, explosions were heard from the work of air defense.
