Death toll from massive attack on Zaporizhzhia increases to 9, number of wounded - to 42

The number of victims of yesterday's russian attack on Zaporizhzhia has increased to 9, among the killed citizens is a one-year-old boy, at least 42 people were injured.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The bloody hands of the enemy took the lives of 9 civilians, including a 1-year-old boy. 42 people were injured," he wrote.

Fedorov said that among the injured were four children: boys aged 1, 5, and 15, and a four-month-old girl.

Currently, 15 victims of enemy shelling are in Zaporizhzhia medical institutions.

A 5-year-old boy is in extremely serious condition.

He underwent surgery and is on a lung ventilator.

Doctors assess the condition of four more people, including two medical workers, as serious.

"Today in Zaporizhzhia is the day of mourning for those killed in yesterday's Russian shelling of the regional center. Eternal memory to the dead. Condolences to those who lost relatives and friends. Russia is a terrorist country. We will not forgive," the head of the military administration wrote.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the afternoon of November 7, the russian occupation forces carried out a massive air attack on Zaporizhzhia, striking 5 missiles and guided air bombs.

As a result of the enemy attack, a hospital and residential buildings were damaged.
