The electricity situation in winter will depend on the intensity of russian attacks on our power system.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
"Now the situation is under control, all necessary repairs have been carried out, protection of energy facilities has been built. The passage of winter depends primarily on the intensity of russian attacks on our energy system," the message says.
Shmyhal said that the government is preparing in all possible directions. In particular, they agreed to increase the physical volume of electricity imports from 1.7 to 2.1 GW. An additional amount of the so-called emergency support was separately agreed upon. The development of distributed generation is also continuing, and government support programs for the installation of alternative energy sources are working for businesses.
"We have a sufficient supply of various equipment, enough gas in our warehouses and enough coal in warehouses. The business can also import electricity to protect itself from potential power outages in winter," he added.
It will be recalled that earlier the executive director of DTEK said that this winter can pass without the application of power outage schedules, if energy facilities are reliably protected from russian shelling.
