US President Joe Biden spoke about the loss of Vice President Kamala Harris in the election. He noted that she became part of the presidential race under extraordinary circumstances and led a historic campaign.
This is announced in a statement on the White House website.
"America saw Kamala Harris today who I know and deeply admire. She was a great partner and public servant full of integrity, courage and character. She took charge under extraordinary circumstances and led a historic campaign that made what was possible guided by a strong moral compass and a clear vision of a nation that is freer, fairer, and full of greater opportunity for all Americans," the statement said.
Biden recalled that choosing Harris was the first decision he made when he became a candidate for President in 2020. We will remind that Kamala Harris is the current Vice President.
"It was the best decision I ever made. Her story represents the best of American history. And as she made clear today, I have no doubt that she will continue to write that story," Biden added.
The President of the United States emphasized that Harris will resolutely continue the fight and continue "to be a champion for all Americans."
"Above all, she will continue to be a leader our children will look up to for generations to come, as she leaves her mark on America's future," he concluded.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Kamala Harris assured during a phone conversation with Donald Trump that she would work to ensure "a peaceful transfer of power, unlike what we saw in 2020." President Joe Biden also called Trump.
Meanwhile, the administration of US President Joe Biden plans to transfer the remaining USD 6 billion in security aid to Ukraine before the inauguration of Donald Trump.
