The former head of the public relations service of the Air Forces Yurii Ihnat, who continues to work in the press service of the Air Forces, has confirmed that many people from the Air Forces’ units are transferred to the infantry, which was previously stated by the Member of the Verkhovna Rada Mariana Bezuhla.
Ihnat announced this on his Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Mariana Bezuhla’s office writes that the Air Forces shoot down fewer Shaheds due to the fact that many people from the Air Forces’ units (and not only) are transferred to the infantry. Yes, I confirm, they are transferred! Not from the good times... and a lot, and this is very painful for the Air Forces, and, of course, it affects the general picture in a certain way. But there are appropriate decisions, and you understand why", Ihnat emphasized.
At the same time, he denies that this affected the quality of the shooting down of Shaheds.
According to him, the drones of the aggressor country are shot down not only by the Air Forces, but all the Defense Forces, and the effectiveness of their work has not decreased.
"Better explain, Mariana, how, being an active member of the specialized committee for so long, it was possible to fail the most important things - mobilization and motivation, so that it came to the point that people from aviation, air defense and medics were sent to the front lines?! Look in the mirror, Mariana, everything can be seen there!" summed up Ihnat.
Earlier, Bezuhla wrote on her Telegram channel that the shooting down of Shaheds worsened, because "the air defense forces are being transferred to the infantry."
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in August Ihnat called on the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service of Ukraine to investigate Bezuhla’s actions after her statement that the F-16 fighter jet was allegedly shot down by a Patriot air defense system due to a lack of coordination between units.
On August 29, Ihnat called on the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service of Ukraine to deal with the statements of the Member of the Verkhovna Rada Mariana Bezuhla.
