Defense Forces and AFU Air Force down 39 of 71 enemy UAVs that attacked Ukraine on Friday night and Saturday

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Saturday the destruction of 39 enemy UAVs in the Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Sumy and Poltava Regions out of 71 that attacked Ukraine, 21 UAVs were lost locally, 5 UAVs returned to the russian federation.

"On the night of November 2, 2024 (from 7:00 p.m. on November 1), the enemy attacked with an Kh-31P guided air missile from the airspace of the Belgorod Oblast and 71 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unknown type from the directions of Oryol, Kursk - the russian federation," the message in the Telegram channel says.

The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"As of 11:00 a.m., the downing of 39 enemy UAVs in the Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Sumy, and Poltava Regions has been confirmed. 21 UAVs have been lost locally, 5 UAVs have returned to russia. There are about five attack UAVs in the air. Combat work is ongoing! Information is being clarified and updated," the message emphasized.

According to preliminary data, as a result of the russian attack, due to falling debris, apartment buildings and private buildings in the Sumy, Poltava, Kyiv and Odesa Regions were damaged, the message also states.
