In the Netherlands, robbers blew up the entrance to a gallery and stole two paintings by Andy Warhol. Two more of his works were thrown into the street.

Robbers blew up the entrance to the gallery, tore two works out of their frames, and threw the other two into the street. All four works were irreparably damaged, the owner of the gallery said. Due to the explosion, the doors of the gallery were knocked out, glass fragments are lying all over the building, about ten buildings nearby were also damaged, their windows were blown out.

The robbers fled, their car was found in a local village.
Andy Warhol created these works in the 1980s, the series was called "Reigning Queens". They depict four queens of the period: Beatrix of the Netherlands, Elizabeth II of Britain, Margrethe II of Denmark and Queen Ntombi Twala of Swaziland.
