Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that Poland has done more for Ukraine than any other country, but it should take care of its own interests as a frontline country.
This is how he commented on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's words that Poland has not handed over the rest of its MiG aircraft and does not want to shoot down missiles of the aggressor country of russia over Ukraine.
The Polish publication PolsatNews writes about it.
Sikorski emphasized that Poland has sent aid to Ukraine in the amount of more than EUR 200 billion. According to him, Poland has done more in proportion to GDP than any other country to help Ukraine.
"We conduct an intensive dialogue with Ukraine also in the field of security. Ukraine has almost 300 of our tanks, a lot of heavy equipment, in particular aviation. We try to help, but we are also a frontline country. We are also threatened by russia and not everything is possible," said the head of the Foreign Ministry of Poland.
According to Sikorski, such assistance is a manifestation of solidarity with Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 19, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to the proposal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, to place Crimea under the UN mandate.
On September 15, Sikorski called for the abolition of benefits for Ukrainian men in Europe.
On September 7, Sikorski said that Poland could shoot down russian missiles over Ukraine under one condition.
