The Holos party, which was created by the leader of the Okean Elzy band, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, was deprived of state funding.
This was announced by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), Ukrainian News Agency reports.
On October 11, 2024, the Cassation Administrative Court issued a final decision in this case.
The Supreme Court confirmed the legality of the decision of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention regarding the termination of state funding of the political party Holos. The decision is final and cannot be appealed.
This means that the political party in this convocation will no longer receive state funding for statutory activities.
In June 2024, the NACP stopped financing the political party Holos due to inaccurate information in the reports for almost UAH 5 million.
In particular, a number of significant violations were found in the reports of the Holos political party on property, income and obligations of a financial nature (hereinafter - the report) for the 3rd - 4th quarters of 2020.
In two quarterly reports for 2020, the Holos political party included inaccurate information in the report for a total of UAH 4,726,500.
This is the reason for the termination of state financing of the statutory activities of the party.
In accordance with the Law "On Political Parties", the repeated commission of a violation, which consists in submitting a report to the NACP, which contains inaccurate information about the expenses of a political party in the amount of more than 20 amounts of the minimum wage (as of January 01, 2020 - UAH 94,460) is grounds for to make a decision on the termination of state funding of the party (order No. 167/24 of June 25, 2024).
By the end of this year, the political party should have received more than UAH 57 million (for two quarters).
