Russia claims drone attack on oil refinery located 1,500 km from Ukrainian border

Russia claims that the fuel and energy complex in Bashkiria was raided by drones. Local residents publish videos of explosions.

The head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, confirmed the fall of one of the drones on the territory of an unnamed enterprise. According to the official, the drone allegedly caused minimal damage, while the other two fell in an industrial zone.

However, local residents publish videos of the explosions and suggest that Bashneft-Ufimsky Refinery, one of the most modern russian oil refineries, could have been hit.

The Russian Federation claims that there were no casualties or damage.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine did not comment on the attack on the russian facility.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of October 20, the russian segment of social networks began to write about drone attacks, explosions, and an attack on the Yakov Sverdlov plant in Dzerzhinsk (Nizhny Novgorod Oblast), which produces explosives for the russian defense industry.
