1,050,000 citizens have been drafted into the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and it is planned to draft another 160,000 people, which will make it possible to fill up the units to 85%.
According to the message of the Member of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksii Honcharenko (European Solidarity faction) on the Telegram channel, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council in the Rada said this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"A total of 1,050,000 citizens have been drafted into the Defense Forces. It is planned to draft another 160,000 people. This will make it possible to fill up the units to 85%," Lytvynenko said.
Lytvynenko presented to the Rada the bills of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding the continuation of martial law and general mobilization.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Tuesday, October 29, the Rada extended martial law and mobilization for 90 days - from November 10 to February 7, 2025.
