Kyiv starts the heating season for the housing stock from Wednesday, October 30.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"From October 30, we are starting the heating season for the housing stock in Kyiv. The city made this decision, taking into account the further significant cooling," he said.
Klitschko noted that such a decision was made taking into account the weather conditions and forecasters' forecasts of a significant drop in temperature, the average daily temperature of which will be below +8 degrees for three days.
He noted that it takes about 7 days to fully deploy the centralized heat supply system of Kyiv - one of the largest in Europe, in terms of technology.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, since October 14, Kyiv has started the heating season for the social sphere.
In 2023, Kyiv started connecting social infrastructure objects to heat on October 9, housing stock - from October 16.
