Rada to change approach to domestic policy regarding veterans

The Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading the bill on the formation of a comprehensive approach to internal policy in the field of veterans.

Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of the Rada from the Holos faction, announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

302 parliamentarians voted for bill No. 11007, with the minimum required 226.

The purpose of the document is to define the principles of a comprehensive internal policy in the veterans' sphere.

The bill proposes to define the principles of internal policy in the field of veterans.

It is envisaged to determine the principles for ensuring the proper implementation of the medical, educational, labor, economic, cultural, and social rights of war veterans.

At the same time, among the foundations of commemoration of war veterans, Defenders of Ukraine and victims of the Revolution of Dignity.

The principles for creating an effective system of transition from military service to civilian life, creating conditions for effective treatment, rehabilitation, restoration of a full-fledged life and development of such categories of persons are foreseen.

At the same time, it is proposed to regulate the creation of a single state electronic care system.

It is proposed to regulate the creation of conditions for the formation of programs for the reintegration of veterans with communities.

It is also envisaged to promote the creation of business entities of veterans, to promote the creation of new vectors of their social protection.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Rada adopted the bill on veteran entrepreneurship in the first reading.
