Territorial recruitment centers and the National Police will now exchange data through an electronic system, which will enable law enforcement officers to quickly receive information about violators and deliver them to the territorial recruitment and social support centers.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved important changes to strengthen military records and track violations of legislation. Now territorial recruitment centers, SSU, intelligence agencies and the National Police will exchange data through an electronic system. This will allow law enforcement officers to quickly and efficiently receive information about violators and deliver them to the territorial recruitment and social support centers or relevant authorities," Umerov said.
He noted that Ukraine continues the digitalization of the defense sphere, making the process of conscription into the army more fair and efficient.
The minister added that digitalization increases transparency and helps to better organize the work of equipping the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"This is a decision to restore justice to those who faithfully fulfill their duty to the Motherland. The new rules will also strengthen our defense capabilities, making the army stronger and military recording more transparent," he emphasized.
According to the notification of the Ministry of Defense, the Cabinet of Ministers approved changes to the Order of organization and maintenance of military records.
The key innovation is the introduction of electronic information interaction between the Unified State Register of conscripts, those liable for military service and reservists and the Unified Information System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that this will allow law enforcement officers to promptly receive data on violators for their further administrative detention and delivery to the nearest territorial recruitment and social support center or SSU bodies. In the absence of a technical possibility to exchange information, the resolution provides for alternative forms of appeal to the National Police, in particular, such appeals are sent in paper form.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in October, the Cabinet of Ministers reduced the deadline for summons to the territorial recruitment and social support center.
