As part of Days of Repentance Operation, Israel carried out massive airstrikes on targets in Iran during night

During the night of October 26, the IDF Air Force carried out offensive actions against various objects on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The airstrikes were carried out in response to the Iranian attack on Israel on October 1.

As reported by the Tel Aviv TV channel N12, within a few hours the Air Force of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck dozens of strategic objects on the territory of Iran. The targets were military facilities - missile factories, enterprises for the development and production of UAVs, ballistic missile launch bases.

The first wave of attacks in the framework of the Days of Repentance Operation was aimed at the task of large-scale damage to the Iranian air defense system, which ensured the freedom of action of the IDF Air Force in the airspace of Iran. According to available data, explosions were heard in several large cities: Tehran, Karaj and Isfahan, while several powerful explosions were recorded in Tehran.

The stated targets include air defense systems, Imam Ali International Airport in Tehran, which is also used as a military base, and a power plant in the city of Karaj.

In total, according to the mass media, about 20 objects were attacked. 100-200 aircraft, including F-35, participated in the air raid.

At the same time, the Syrian opposition media reported that the Israeli Air Force attacked air defense batteries in the Syrian governorate of Homs, as well as the Tal al-Qalib radar base in As Suwayda. The attack was carried out simultaneously with strikes on targets in Iran. Strikes were also carried out on objects in Lebanon

IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari issued an official statement confirming that the Israeli Air Force is attacking military facilities in Iran in response to Iranian attacks. He emphasized: "The Israel Defense Forces is constantly assessing the situation, and at this stage there are no changes in the directives of the rear command."

"The IDF has many offensive operational capabilities, some of which were used today during attacks on strategic targets deep in Iran. The State of Israel reserves the right and duty to protect the country's citizens if the regime in Iran continues to attack the State of Israel and of its citizens," the Israel Defense Forces emphasized.
