Ukraine has received lists of missing servicemen from Qatar, as well as letters from Ukrainian prisoners of war to their relatives.
The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
He said that in Qatar he met with the Minister of State for International Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Lolwah bint Rashid Al-Khater.
"Thanks to the efforts of our main intermediary, through Qatar I managed to obtain lists of missing servicemen, as well as letters from Ukrainian prisoners of war to their relatives and to discuss the possibility of speeding up the process of exchanging prisoners of war," he wrote.
In addition, Ukraine and Qatar managed to work out agreements on the provision of assistance to civilians who found themselves in a difficult life situation, in particular, assistance in the restoration of documents.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin, up to 90% of Ukrainian military personnel were tortured, sexually abused or suffered other forms of inhumane treatment in russian captivity.
