Earthquake occurs in Chernivtsi Region of Ukraine

In the evening of Wednesday, October 23, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 was recorded in the Chernivtsi Region.

This is reported by the Main Center of Special Control.

It is noted that tremors were registered at 06:08 p.m. at a depth of 3 km. The source of the earthquake is located in the village of Lomachyntsi of the Dnistrovskyi district of the Chernivtsi Region.

"According to the classification of earthquakes, it belongs to the perceptible ones. The earthquake is felt by a few people, who are inside the premises; under the open sky - only in favorable conditions. The vibrations are similar to the shaking caused by a light truck. Attentive observers notice light vibrations of light objects, slightly stronger - on the upper floors," the Main Center of Special Control explained.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 occurred in the Black Sea.

Also, in the evening of October 8, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 occurred in the Kryvorizkyi district.
