The authorities of North Korea (DPRK) could isolate the families of servicemen, who were sent to russia for further participation in the war against Ukraine.
This was stated by a member of the South Korean parliament, Lee Seong-kweun, his words are quoted by Reuters.
According to him, a representative of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) of South Korea told during a speech before the members of parliament that family members of North Korean soldiers began to be isolated from others.
"There are also indications that the North Korean authorities have relocated and isolated families in a certain location to effectively control them and thoroughly suppress rumors," the lawmaker said.
According to him, the NIS representative also confirmed that russia has hired a large number of translators for the North Korean military.
It will be recalled that on October 22, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that North Korea is preparing two units to be sent to war against Ukraine. The number of each is approximately 6,000 people.
Already today, October 23, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin confirmed the presence of North Korean troops on the territory of russia.
As Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said, North Korean troops were moved from the Far East to the central part of the russian federation.
