The army of the aggressor country of russia can launch an offensive on Zaporizhzhia, despite "shockingly high" losses.
The British publication The Economist reports this.
"A senior Ukrainian official says Russia’s next objective might be an advance on the city of Zaporizhzhia, a major industrial centre in Ukraine’s south close to a Russian-occupied nuclear-power plant," the publication said.
The publication writes that things on the battlefield "look grim." Russia is conducting an offensive at several points and does not pay attention to the shockingly high losses – 600,000 dead and wounded.
Now the russians are trying to encircle Pokrovsk, which is an important logistical hub in the east.
The publication also emphasized that support for the West is becoming smaller and smaller. Germany and France have already made it clear that they will cut aid.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 22, 166 combat clashes took place on the front, the hottest areas were Pokrovsk, where 56 clashes took place during the day, and Kurakhove – 47 clashes.
Analysts of the Ukrainian OSINT project DeepState claim that the russian invaders captured one of the settlements of the Donetsk Region. Also, the enemy allegedly had success near five more towns and villages.
