On the night of Tuesday, October 22, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with 60 drones, the air defense forces managed to destroy 42 UAVs, 10 enemy drones were lost in location, 3 returned to russia.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
During the night, 60 UAVs (Shahed type and unidentified type) were detected in the airspace of Ukraine, launched by the enemy from the areas of Kursk, Yeysk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).
"The shooting down of 42 enemy UAVs in the Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kherson and Kharkiv Regions was confirmed... In addition, 10 russian drones were lost in location. One UAV flew to Belarus, three more - back to russia. One enemy UAV is still in the airspace of Ukraine," the message reads.
It is noted that most of the attack UAVs were shot down in the Sumy Region.
As a result of the attack, there are killed and wounded in this region.
The air attack is repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of October 21, the invaders attacked the territory of Ukraine with three missiles and 116 drones.
The Ukrainian military shot down 59 enemy drones, 45 UAVs were lost in location.
On the night of October 22, the russian invaders attacked the city of Dnipro, as a result of which private houses were damaged.
Meanwhile, the russian army attacked Sumy with Shaheds. Among the killed is a child.
