Meanwhile, the aggressor state russia illegally detains thousands more Ukrainians and continues the forced resettlement of children.

"Together with everyone in the world who respects human life, we must do everything to free each and every one. We count on the help of the Vatican and all our partners!" added the President.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, up to 90% of Ukrainian soldiers were subjected to torture, sexual violence or other forms of inhumane treatment in russian captivity.

Meanwhile, the ISW noted that the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast increasingly encourages the aggressor state russia to participate in prisoner exchanges. In particular, since the beginning of the operation, both sides exchanged a total of 267 prisoners of war during three separate exchanges before the last one, which took place on October 18.
