On the night of Monday, October 21, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with three missiles and 116 drones, the air defense forces managed to destroy 59 enemy drones, 45 UAVs were lost in location, up to 10 drones are still in the airspace of Ukraine.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is reported that since 8 p.m. on October 20, the enemy is attacking Ukraine with various types of missiles, Shahed type UAVs and unspecified drones.
As of 09:30 a.m., 119 means of enemy air attack were detected by the radio engineering troops of the Air Forces:
- 1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile (launched from the territory of Crimea);
- 1 Kh-35 guided air missile (from the airspace in the Black Sea area);
- 1 Kh-31P guided air missile (from the airspace in the Black Sea area);
- 116 enemy UAVs (launch areas: Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - russia).

"At this time, there is confirmation of the shooting down of 59 enemy UAVs in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Poltava Regions. In addition, 45 russian UAVs were lost in location. Up to 10 enemy UAVs are in the airspace of Ukraine," the message reads.
It is noted that the enemy hit civilian infrastructure objects with several drones.
The air attack is repulsed by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of October 19, the russians attacked the territory of Ukraine with guided air missiles, attack UAVs and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unspecified type; air defense forces managed to destroy 42 UAVs and 4 guided air missiles.
On October 20, the army of the aggressor country of the russian federation occupied the village of Zhelanne Druhe in the Pokrovsk District of the Donetsk Region.
