Syrskyi visits military units operating in Sumy Region and russian Kursk Oblast

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, paid a working visit to military units and units operating in the Sumy Region and the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation. Defense forces maintain control over the situation and prevent the aggressor from reaching the goal.

He announced this on social networks.

"Despite all the enemy's attempts to seize the initiative, the situation remains under our control. I worked directly at the command posts of the brigades. I listened to the commanders of the brigades and their proposals for further actions, provided assistance in solving problematic issues," the message says.

He informed that, taking into account the assessment of the situation, he made a number of decisions aimed at preventing the actions of the enemy and inflicting maximum losses on it.

"Despite the superiority of the occupiers in terms of manpower and equipment, the skill and professionalism of the Ukrainian army do not allow the russian aggressor to achieve its goal. We are very grateful to our soldiers, sergeants and officers for their courage, steadfastness and unceasing military work," he added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Institute for the Study of War noted that the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast increasingly encourages the aggressor state of russia to participate in prisoner exchanges. In particular, since the beginning of the operation, both sides exchanged a total of 267 prisoners of war during three separate exchanges before the last one, which took place on October 18.
