Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha will pay a visit to Turkey from October 20 to 22. Special attention of the negotiations will be paid to the Victory Plan, and they will also talk about the expansion of bilateral cooperation, in particular, in the defense and industrial sphere.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Thus, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister is scheduled to hold talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, and Trade Minister Ömer Bolat in Ankara.
It is indicated that the focus of the negotiations will be the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, defense-industrial and cultural-humanitarian spheres, freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and Black Sea security.
"Special attention of the negotiations will be paid to the Victory Plan presented by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the integration of Ukraine into NATO and the Peace Formula as a way to a comprehensive, just and lasting peace," the message reads.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will also hold a series of negotiations and visit the defense industry exhibition "SAHA EXPO 2024", where he will hold separate meetings with Turkish defense companies.
In addition, there will be important meetings of the minister with the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities of Turkey.
Sybiha will also visit Istanbul University, where he will talk with teachers and students of the Department of Ukrainian Language and Literature, discuss the possibilities of expanding academic cooperation and supporting the study of the Ukrainian language in Turkey.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan previously stated that the US and other NATO members do not want Ukraine to be a member of the Alliance.
It will be recalled that on October 16, President Zelenskyy publicly presented the Victory Plan. It includes five points that should force russia to end the war. The first point is an invitation to NATO.
According to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, there is no consensus among EU leaders regarding the assessment of the Victory Plan presented by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
