On the night of October 18, the enemy's army tried to attack Kyiv with the help of UAVs. There were no direct hits in the capital, however, the air alert lasted literally all night. And in the morning it became known about the successful repel of the attack by the Defense Forces.

Thus, the Kyiv City Military Administration called the attack on the night of October 18 one of the most massive. They added that all drones moving in the direction of Kyiv were destroyed.
"Russian troops carried out one of the most massive drone attacks on the civilian population and infrastructure of Ukraine. Enemy drones threatened Kyiv as well. But thanks to the coordinated work of the Defense Forces, all UAVs moving towards the capital were neutralized," the report says.
Combat work in the airspace of Kyiv on its approaches lasted more than 4.5 hours. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damage in Kyiv. And the very information that the russians launched drones in the direction of Ukraine appeared on the evening of October 17. As of this morning, combat work was still ongoing. The air alert in Kyiv has not stopped for more than 12 hours.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of Thursday, October 17, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with a Kh-59 guided air missile, as well as 56 attack UAVs and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unknown type; air defense forces managed to destroy 22 enemy drones, 27 UAVs were lost in location, 2 - left the airspace of Ukraine, 5 - hit infrastructure objects.
