Cabinet approves e-recruiting

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved electronic army recruitment.

The representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The proposal of the Ministry of Digital Transformation regarding the implementation of a two-year experimental project on recruiting citizens of Ukraine in electronic form has been agreed," he said.

In particular, the procedure for implementing the experimental project was approved.

It was determined that the participants of the experimental project are citizens of Ukraine aged 18 to 55, who have a registration number of the taxpayer's registration card, do not undergo military service in the Armed Forces, other military formations, are not called up for military service during mobilization and have expressed a desire to participate in an experimental project.

Recruiting of persons in electronic form includes the person's selection of a military unit and specialty, the person's submission of an application for military service under a contract using the tools of the Diia Portal, in particular, using the Diia mobile application.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Defense previously announced that the recruiting service in the Reserve+ application will become available in October.

According to the Ministry of Defense, as of October 6, 20,150 people applied to the recruiting centers of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, 5,091 of them are considered as candidates for the Defense Forces, and 1,726 have started their service or will soon join the army.
