Foreign Ministry strongly rejects accusation of alleged supply of UAVs to rebels in Mali

Ukraine strongly rejects the accusations recently spread by some international media about the alleged involvement of our state in the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to the rebels in Mali.

This is indicated in a statement on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

"We also categorically deny all the regular accusations made by the high-ranking officials of the Republic of Mali and the Republic of Niger, that Ukraine is allegedly involved in "cooperation with terrorists", "arms supplies and providing them with information", "support to the terrorist coalition", etc.,” the statement reads.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that since the first months of the full-scale russian invasion, Ukraine was the first to initiate the introduction of an extensive system of monitoring and control of weapons supplied by Western partners.

During this time, Western partners did not discover a single case of inappropriate use of weapons and equipment.

"In this context, we also reject all accusations against Ukraine regarding the alleged involvement of our state in the entry into the Sahel region of weapons and military equipment supplied to Ukraine by its allies to counter the ongoing armed aggression of the Russian Federation," the statement emphasizes.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has increased security measures in foreign embassies against the background of anonymous reports of mine-laying.
