The russian occupation troops at the front are not preparing for the winter period, instead they are trying to make the most of the dry weather.
The spokeswoman of the Luhansk operational-tactical group Anastasia Bobovnikova stated this on the air of the United News telethon.
"According to our intelligence, the enemy is not preparing for the winter period. They are trying to make the most of the dry weather currently in the Donetsk Region. We haven't had any significant rain yet," she said.
The spokeswoman added that the occupiers at the front are making maximum use of artillery, FPV drones and other available means of destruction, hoping "that they will be able to achieve some goals before the frost."
Bobovnikova emphasized that Ukrainian forces, unlike the enemy, conduct preparations for the winter period. According to her, it will be much more difficult for the russians to storm Ukrainian positions.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 14, 198 combat clashes took place at the front, the hottest areas were Kurakhove, where 50 clashes took place during the day, Lyman – 45 and Pokrovsk – 40 clashes.
On October 12, the Institute for the Study of War said that russian forces intensified counterattacks in russia's Kursk Oblast on October 10 and 11 to try to push out Ukrainian forces before the weather worsened.
