On the night of Tuesday, October 15, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with 7 S-300/400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, two Kh-59 guided air missiles and 17 strike UAVs, the air defense forces managed to destroy 12 enemy drones.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that at night the enemy attacked the Mykolaiv Region with 7 S-300/400 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, two Kh-59 guided air missiles against the Chernihiv Region and Sumy Region from the airspace of the Kursk Oblast, as well as 17 attack UAVs (areas launches: Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - russia)
"As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 12 enemy UAVs were shot down in the Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad and Cherkasy Regions. 4 Russian drones were lost in location, presumably due to active countermeasures by EW. Another UAV is in the air, combat work continues!" the message says.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the attack.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of October 14, for the first time in the last 48 days, the russian occupation forces did not attack Ukraine with any Shahed-type attack drones, nor did they use strategic aviation.
On the night of October 12, the russian federation attacked the territory of Ukraine with missiles of an unknown type and 28 Shahed type attack drones, the air defense managed to destroy 24 enemy drones.
On the night of October 15, the occupiers launched missile attacks on Mykolaiv, as a result of the attack, one person was killed in the city, and 23 people are currently known to have been injured.
