General Staff confirms destruction of 9 russian tanks, but says nothing about Su-34 downing

Over the past day, October 12, the russian army lost 1,300 soldiers killed and wounded. Besides, 9 russian tanks were disabled. The destruction of the Su-34 fighter was not confirmed there.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in a summary on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The losses of the aggressor country of russia were the following:

• tanks — 8,971 (+9 over the past day);
• armored combat vehicles — 17,876 (+49);
• artillery systems — 19,410 (+29);
• MLRS — 1,231 (+1);
• air defense means — 978 (+2);
• planes — 369;
• helicopters — 329;
• UAVs of the operational-tactical level — 16,992 (+45);
• cruise missiles — 2619;
• ships/boats — 28;
• submarines — 1;
• motor vehicles and tank trucks — 26,584 (+71);
• special equipment — 3,435 (+1).

This list does not include the Su-34 aircraft, which the russian federation allegedly lost.

Recall that russian bloggers announced the loss of the Su-34 fighter, but did not report the circumstances. Initially, Telegram bloggers related to aviation claimed that the plane was allegedly shot down by a Ukrainian F-16. This information was later deleted, stating that the fighter jet fell due to an alleged technical failure or pilot error.
