"This certainly in no way applies to the language of the aggressor country. We understand that language is used as a weapon, as a prerequisite for aggression," he added regarding the need to protect the languages of national minorities.

According to him, the ministry "takes care of the languages of indigenous peoples, languages of national communities and, above all, the development of the Ukrainian language."

In the 10th Article of the Constitution, it is stated that the state ensures the comprehensive development and functioning of the Ukrainian language in all spheres of public life throughout the territory of Ukraine. Free development, use and protection of russian and other languages of national minorities of Ukraine is guaranteed in Ukraine.
