The attack on the military airfield of the russian federation Khanskaya was carried out by drones of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), Defense Intelligence and Special Operations Forces (SOF). At the time of the attack, 57 russian combat and training planes and helicopters were at the airport. Among them are Su-34, Su-35 and Mi-8.
This was reported to the Ukrainian News Agency by sources in law enforcement agencies.
How many planes and helicopters were destroyed or damaged is currently being established.
But it is already known that there are large-scale fires and detonations at the airfield.
Among other things, this is also confirmed by satellite monitoring.
The local authorities announced an evacuation.
According to our sources, russia uses this airfield in the Krasnodar Krai (450 km from the front line) for refueling and missile-bomb attacks on units of the Defense Forces and populated areas of Ukraine.
"The SSU systematically destroys the military potential of the rashists. After each attack, the russian federation has fewer and fewer resources to wage war against our state. We are working to ensure that russia does not have either missiles or aircraft that can strike Ukraine," the source in the SSU said.
The interlocutor also added that on the night of October 10, drones of the SSU, Defense Intelligence, AFU and SOF hit the Shaheds warehouse near Yeysk.
Several strong explosions were recorded there, which caused a fire and subsequent detonation at the place of storage of drones.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the SSU attacked warehouses with guided aerial bombs and the airfield Borisoglebsk in russia.
