Ukraine confirms death of journalist Viktoria Roshchyna, who was kidnapped by occupiers in Berdiansk

Information about the death of Ukrainian journalist Viktoria Roshchyna, who previously worked for hromadske and was captured by the russians, has been confirmed.

Petro Yatsenko, a representative of the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, told about this on the air of the telethon.

As for the circumstances of the death, it is too early to say, because they are still being established, however, according to Yatsenko, "if there are those who caused this death, they will be punished."

He also confirmed that Viktoria Roshchyna was being prepared for exchange, but, "unfortunately, we did not have time here": "The fact that she was being transferred from Taganrog to Moscow was the stage of her preparation for release."

Earlier, her father found out about the journalist's death, but at that time the information received from the russians was still being checked.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the russian federation admitted for the first time that it was holding Ukrainian journalist Viktoria Roshchyna captive.
