The investment company BGV Group Management of the co-owner of ATB-Market company Hennadii Butkevych will build more than 50 MW of gas generation in Rivne.
This is stated in the company's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The project envisages the construction of more than 50 MW of gas cogeneration plants in the city of Rivne. The equipment will work in a combined mode and will ensure the production of both electric and thermal energy. The project includes several stages of investment and construction. The first stage will be operational already during this heating season of the season," the report says.
According to the announcement, the full cycle of the project will be implemented within a year.
Investments of BGV Group Management in the project are made through JSC Closed non-diversified venture fund Magnum, 100% of which is owned by Hennadii Butkevych.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 6, Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko announced that hundreds of MW of the planned 1 GW of new gas generation for 2024 had already been built, and 600 MW had been financed.
In June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine intends to build 1 GW of flexible gas generation in 2024 and another 4 GW in the coming years.
