The Cabinet of Ministers will allocate an additional EUR 86 million to the construction of protection systems around energy facilities.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Ukraine will redistribute funds within the limits of the loan from the European Investment Bank for the modernization of substations. The corresponding decision was made today at the government meeting. We will be able to allocate an additional EUR 86 million to the construction of protection systems around energy facilities, which will reduce the risks of russian terrorist attacks," he wrote.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine will strengthen the protection of substations that are key to the operation of nuclear power plants.
