Air defense downs 18 drones at night, another drone returns to russia

In the evening, the russian occupiers attacked the Odesa Region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and launched 19 attack drones on the territory of Ukraine on the night of October 8, 18 of which were destroyed by air defense forces.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thus, from 07:00 p.m. on October 7 to 08:30 a.m. on October 8, the enemy struck the Odesa  region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the occupied Crimea, as well as 19 strike UAVs from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, russia.

It is indicated that as a result of anti-aircraft combat, all enemy drones were eliminated in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia and Ternopil Regions.

In particular, 18 UAVs were shot down by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups and EW systems of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and one more attack UAV returned to russia.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the evening of October 7, the aggressor country of russia fired ballistic missiles at Odesa, hitting a civilian ship flying the flag of Palau. An employee of a private company working in the port was killed.
