Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, said that cases of shooting by the russian occupiers of unarmed Ukrainian soldiers are tolerated by their top management. This is how the ombudsman commented on the record released by the Azov Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU) on Sunday, October 6.
Azov said that a drone recorded how the russian occupiers shot three unarmed Ukrainian soldiers at close range in Niu York. Later, fighters of the 12th Brigade together with the 49th Separate Assault Battalion captured one of the group of these occupiers and released a video of his interrogation.
"Executions of Ukrainian prisoners by the Russians are war crimes! Recently, videos of alleged shootings and murders by the Russian army of Ukrainian soldiers who surrendered have appeared on social networks. Today, another video appeared on the Internet where the occupiers are probably shooting unarmed Ukrainian soldiers in the Donetsk Region," noted Lubinets.
The Ombudsman reported that he had urgently sent letters to the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross. According to him, it is necessary to record and verify every crime committed by the russian military for proper punishment.
