Iryna Farion's son-in-law, Vasyl Osoba, was killed in the war. He served in the 4th battalion of the Freedom Force of the National Guard of Ukraine Rapid Response Brigade "Rubizh".
On October 6, his wife Sofia announced the death of a serviceman on Facebook.
Vasyl Osoba was killed in the battle in the Siversk Axis, wrote on his Facebook page the ex-MP Oleh Tiahnybok.
"Vasyl defended Ukraine in the 4th battalion of the Freedom Force of the National Guard of Ukraine Rapid Response Brigade "Rubizh" and gave his life for the State...", Oleh Tiahnybok wrote.
Vasyl Osoba was a senior soldier and mortarman in the Legion of Freedom.
Note that, his wife and two children were waiting for him at home.
His mother-in-law, Iryna Farion, was a well-known Ukrainian linguist, blogger and public figure.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the defense of Iryna Farion's daughter wants life imprisonment for the suspect Zinchenko.
