According to the media, half of the shells that the russian federation uses in the war against Ukraine, it receives from North Korea. We are talking about 3 million shells per year.
The portal of the British publication The Times informs about this.
The media, citing sources in Western intelligence, note that many North Korean shells are defective, but it was the superiority in shells that helped the occupiers to achieve success on the front, in particular, to occupy Vuhledar.
The publication noted that russia became dependent on North Korean shells after putin's visit to North Korea in early 2024.
The source also reported that russian troops are suffering significant losses in the war - an average of 1,200 per day, of which about 500 are only in the battles for Pokrovsk of the Donetsk Region.
It is emphasized that now russia is not able to simultaneously fight for Pokrovsk and dislodge the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Kursk Oblast, due to a lack of manpower, but the Kremlin is not ready to announce mobilization in the russian federation.
