Almost 100 AFU servicemen executed by invaders since war start. This year accounts for 80% of cases

In almost three years since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia into Ukraine, 93 cases of execution of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield have been established.

This was stated by the representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office Ukraine, Andrii Bilousov, quoted by RBC-Ukraine.

"Currently, we already have information about the death of 93 of our soldiers, who were executed right on the battlefield," Bilousov said.

He noted that about 80% of the executions of Ukrainian servicemen occur this year.

Changes in the attitude of the soldiers of the russian occupation army towards the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine became noticeable in November 2023.

One of the most resonant events is the mass killing of captured Ukrainian soldiers in the village of Olenivka, Donetsk Region, in July 2022. Bilousov emphasized that similar incidents were recorded in other places as well.

We will remind you that on October 1, information appeared on the Internet that the occupiers shot 16 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsk Axis in the Donetsk Region. Before that, they laid down their arms and surrendered to the russians.

We also wrote that on September 17, Ukrainian ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets stated that in the currently occupied Novohrodivka of the Donetsk Region, the russians killed a captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by piercing his chest with a sword.

Later it became known that the law enforcement agencies established the name of the serviceman, who was executed by the occupiers in Novohrodivka.
