The Verkhovna Rada plans to adopt the 2025 state budget in the second reading in late November.
This was announced by the press service of the parliament, referring to the statement of the head of the budget committee, Roksolana Pidlasa (Servant of the People faction), Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"I think there will be at least 1,500-2,000 amendments to the draft state budget for 2025, because every committee, every MP has ideas about how to best distribute money in the state. We plan to consider all amendments in detail and carefully. It is expected that the vote in the first reading of the state budget will be in late October, and in the second reading – in late November. We will stick to the deadlines set by the law and even do it earlier, because we have to adopt the document by December 1," she said.
Pidlasa added that the expenditures of the state budget in 2025, compared to those changes to the state budget of 2024, which were voted a week ago, are almost unchanged.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Social Policy, commenting on the decrease in funding in the draft state budget for 2025, notes that it will work on finding resources, in particular at the expense of international partners, to support Ukrainians from the most vulnerable categories.
