Rada Tax Committee supports bill on increasing taxes to 2nd reading - Zhelezniak

The Tax Committee recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt in the second reading the bill on the historical increase of taxes under No. 11416d.

This was announced by the MP from the Holos faction, the first deputy chairman of the committee, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, in the Telegram, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The document provides for:

- increase in military fee (MF) from 1.5% to 5%

- the implementation of the MF for individuals entrepreneurs

- 50% tax on bank profits

- increase of minimum tax liability for lands

- 25% income tax for financial companies

- exemption of cashback from taxation

- transition to monthly personal income tax reporting

- an increase in the rent for the extraction of crushed stone.

Postponing to November 1 or partially replacing it with an increase in VAT - the Government refused.

Consideration of the document in the parliamentary hall is expected the next week.

Part of the norms will enter retroactively from October 1.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Hetmantsev is convinced that there is no alternative to increasing taxation in the current situation in Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada intends to raise taxes and return 50% of the tax on excess profits of banks.

Hetmantsev said that the authorities are not considering hryvnia issuance or devaluation as an alternative to raising taxes.
