In September 2024, compared to September 2023, Ukrainian seaports doubled their cargo handling to 7 million tons.
This is stated in the message of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"September 2024 showed an increase in processed cargo to 7 million tons, which is almost twice as high as in September of last year, when 3.4 million tons were processed. The agricultural sector remains the leader in exports, in particular, in September, 4.1 million tons of agricultural products were delivered to international markets," the report says.
In January-September 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, Ukrainian ports increased cargo processing by 80% to 74 million tons.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, over a year of operation of the Ukrainian maritime corridor, 70 million tons of goods were exported.
