Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico would like to restore normal relations with the aggressor country of russia after the end of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
He said this in a conversation with journalists, RTVS writes.
According to Fico, if the war in Ukraine "ends during the mandate of this government", i.e. by 2027, "I will do everything to restore economic and normal relations with the russian federation."
"The European Union needs the russian federation, the russian federation needs the European Union. We will take great care of friendly relations with Ukraine," the Prime Minister of Slovakia said.
He also repeated that the conflict in Ukraine does not have a military solution, and many politicians are already allegedly talking about the need for compromises regarding Ukraine - citing the President of the neighboring Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, as an example.
It will be recalled that earlier Pavel stated that Ukraine should recognize that some territories may remain under the control of the russian federation.
In addition, Fico stated that the Nazis are allegedly fighting on the side of Ukraine, and the international community is not reacting to this. In response to this statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed hope that Slovakia, together with other countries, will oppose the "latest russian evil".
