Russians launch 15 Shaheds at Kyiv at night, none of them reach target - Kyiv City Administration

At night, the russian army made another attempt to launch an air strike on Kyiv using attack drones, the air defense forces detected and hit about 15 Shaheds in the airspace around and above the capital.

The Kyiv City Military Administration announced thus on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that the air alert in the capital lasted more than five and a half hours.

Drones entered the city from different directions and heights; attacks occurred in different quantitative groups.

"The enemy launched the first groups of drones before midnight, but during the night new and new UAVs were constantly added. However, none of the russian drones reached their goal. The forces and means of air defense detected and struck in the air space around and above Kyiv approximately one and a half dozen strike drones," said Serhii Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

According to the operational report, in Kyiv, the wreckage of a UAV was recorded in the Desnianskyi District of the city.

There was no destruction or fire.

There was no information about the victims.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Thursday, October 3, russian troops launched 105 Shahed attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to destroy 78 enemy drones, one drone flew to Belarus, 23 UAVs were lost in location.

On the night of Wednesday, October 2, russian troops launched 32 Shahed attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to destroy 11 enemy drones, 4 drones returned to russia, and 10 UAVs were lost in location.

At the same time, on the evening of October 2, the russian occupation army struck a five-story residential building with an aerial bomb. So far, 7 victims are known.
