On October 1, 12 days ahead of schedule, the Energoatom national nuclear power generating company commissioned a 1,000 MW power unit of one of the nuclear power plants (NPP) after planned and preventive maintenance.
This is stated in the company's message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to the report, power is currently being built up.
"Energoatom is doing everything to ensure that, before the start of the heating season, Ukrainian power units are reloaded with fresh nuclear fuel and prepared for the autumn-winter period. The repair campaign is reaching the finish line, and by the start of the autumn-winter period, all nine units located on the territory controlled by Ukraine will be are ready to work during the most difficult months," said Petro Kotin, head of Energoatom.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, electricity consumption has stabilized and corresponds to seasonal indicators.
