Ukraine does not need permission from the United States to attack targets deep in russia with weapons of its own production.

The spokesman of the U.S. Department of State, Matthew Miller, has stated this.

He said that Ukraine is a sovereign state and can use the weapons it has produced itself.

"And if you look at the weapons we've provided them, we've made it very clear that they can use them to retaliate against Russian targets across the border that are conducting attacks. So Ukraine does have an enormous amount of material to defend itself," said Miller.

According to him, the U.S. is "always looking at whether there are additional tools" that it can provide to Ukraine. At the same time, he did not directly answer the journalists' questions about why the United States does not lift restrictions on long-range strikes deep into russia with American weapons.

"We look at all the possibilities, all the tactics and all the support that we provide to Ukraine as a whole, and when we approve any new weapon system or any new tactic, we look at how it’s going to affect the entire battlefield and Ukraine’s entire strategy. And that’s what we’ll continue to do," said the official.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, this week President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to discuss with U.S. President Joseph Biden the permission to strike with Western weapons deep into the territory of the aggressor state of russia.

Meanwhile, Finland and Sweden did not introduce any specific restrictions on the use of weapons supplied to Ukraine. Finland's Minister of Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen and Sweden's Maria Malmer Stenergard only emphasized that weapons should be used in accordance with international law.
