Large-scale fire breaks out near Azovstal in Mariupol

On the evening of September 29, a fire broke out near Azovstal in the temporarily occupied Mariupol of the Donetsk Region.

This was reported by the Mariupol City Council.

"Yesterday evening, a new fire broke out from the side of the Azovstal Metallurgical Plant. The occupiers are currently not reporting the causes and consequences of the fire," the message reads.

The department noted that large-scale fires have broken out in the city in recent months, the causes of which are mostly unremoved deadwood. In particular, the largest park in the city - named after Hurov - was on fire.

Since the beginning of 2024, more than 400 fires have occurred in occupied Mariupol.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, five children were injured as a result of the detonation of an unknown explosive device in Mariupol, Donetsk Region, controlled by the aggressor country of russia. According to the occupants, three of them were seriously injured.

Meanwhile, the majority of residents of occupied Mariupol continue to live in dilapidated or damaged houses, the problems of which are ignored by the so-called "authorities".
